you were sent to me,
for such a short time,

The Doctors tried all they could,
to make you breathe...
Your heart was so strong,
But you still had to leave...
But...
Before you left for Heaven above,
I knew it was God that granted me one hour
of your love...
I gazed at you,
knowing you were about to die,
Numb & in shock,
I just couldn't speak those words,
goodbye...
I opened your blankets,
and looked at every detail of you...
I wanted your Daddy there,
Holding & loving us to...
I remember your warmth,
As i kissed you several times...
I waited till we were alone in that room, till i finally whispered to you,
The words that screamed in my mind...
I love you so much, i said,
Daddy loves you to...
I couldn't believe what was happening,
to me & especially to you...
I thought your passing would be easy to cope with,
even a breeze,
But my heart split wide open,
Only grieving the pain would ease...
I can't say that times made it easier,
No, I know thats not true,
I think, see & want you still so desparatly as i did that very same day you chose me as your Mummy,
even though you couldn't stay...
